How Guitar Haus Handles Your Online Order

How Guitar Haus Handles Your Online Order

Ordering a guitar online can feel like a big leap, especially when you’re not local, but we’ve built our process to make it easy, transparent, and reliable.

1. What You See Is the Actual Guitar

When we receive an instrument from the manufacturer, we inspect it and take high-quality photos of the actual guitar you’ll be buying. We don’t use stock images or filters. Because wood is a natural material, each guitar is unique, and we want you to see exactly what you’re getting.

2. Secure Payments & Financing Options

We use Shopify to power our online store, one of the most secure and trusted e-commerce platforms available. All credit card information is encrypted and processed securely, so your payment details are never visible to us or stored on our servers. For most guitars, you’ll also see the option to pay over time using Affirm at checkout, a convenient financing solution with clear terms and no hidden fees. Learn more about financing.

3. Professional Setup on Every Guitar

Every guitar we ship, regardless of the price, goes through a full inspection and setup by our team. We treat every instrument with care to make sure it arrives ready to play, not just ready to ship.

4. Safe, Secure Packing & Shipping

We’ve shipped hundreds of guitars safely across Canada and beyond. Here's how we do it:

  • No movement inside the case, we secure everything tightly.
  • Case secured in box with extra padding.
  • Downtuned to relieve neck tension in transit.
  • Fragile stickers clearly placed.
  • Shipped with UPS, our trusted partner with one of the highest safety records for instruments.
  • Free shipping on most orders over $500.
  • Tracking number provided once your order is on the way.

Once your guitar leaves our hands, please review your responsibilities in our Shipping Policy.

5. Instruments Stored in Ideal Conditions

We care deeply about the instruments we sell. Even our stockroom is kept at ideal humidity levels to preserve each guitar’s integrity.
Our premium guitars (over $2,000) are stored in our Luthier’s Hall Gallery, a special, appointment-only room.
This space is:

  • Temperature and humidity controlled
  • Outfitted with padded walls for added safety
  • Access-limited to protect instruments from wear

If a customer books an appointment to try a guitar in this room, we ask they follow a few simple rules:

  • Remove zippers, watches, and belts
  • No hard strumming or percussion playing
  • Respect the space and the instrument

Customers often tell us this careful approach gives them more confidence in their purchase.
