How to Set Up Arpeggiator on the Left Hand on Genos 2 – Step-by-Step

At Guitar Haus, we recently helped a customer who bought a Genos 2 and wanted to set it up so that arpeggios would play on the left side of the keyboard while the right hand could be used for melodies. It’s a useful functionality, but surprisingly, there wasn’t much information online about how to achieve it. So if you’ve been searching for a solution to the same problem, here's a quick and straightforward way to do it.

Step-by-Step Guide:

Genos 2 Guitar HAUS

1 - Go to "Split & Fingering" Settings

  • On your Genos, navigate to the Split & Fingering menu.
  • Turn OFF the "Left" setting.
  • Turn ON "R1" and "R3."
  • This will assign Right 1 to the left side of the keyboard and Right 3 to the right side. You can also set your desired split point here.

2- Assign Sounds to Each Side

    Genos 2 Selecting Voice
  • Once the split is set, go to the Voices section.
  • Assign your chosen sounds to R1 and R3. We opted for piano sounds for both sides, but feel free to choose sounds that fit your playing style.
  • 3 - Set Up the Arpeggiator

    Arpeggios Setting- Genos 2
  • Turn on arpeggios and select your desired style (we went with Arpeggio / Keyboard - Style 13).
  • Click on the gear icon to access detailed settings and assign the arpeggio to R1 only. Since the Genos doesn’t allow arpeggios on the LEFT side directly, this workaround enables you to use the right-hand arpeggio in the lower section of the keyboard.

     Why This Works:

This setup lets you create complex rhythms with arpeggios on the left side while keeping the right side free for melodies. If you find a different approach, let us know!
