A little about Furch Guitars
Furch Guitars originated in the 1970s when Frantisek Furch, facing a lack of quality instruments in communist Czechoslovakia, began crafting banjos and acoustic guitars. Despite restrictions, he established a workshop in 1981.
The Velvet Revolution in 1989 allowed Furch to expand freely. In 1990, production moved to a larger space. In the early '90s, Furch shifted to all-solid wood guitars, introducing popular shapes. International demand led to a move to a 16th-century mill complex in 2000.
Technological advancements, like a new bracing pattern in 2008, enhanced Furch's standing. Petr Furch, Frantisek's son, joined in 2006, incorporating CNC technologies and leading R&D.
In 2018, Furch streamlined model lines and introduced new color models, including the customizable Rainbow Series. With over 80 employees, Furch Guitars continues as a technology leader, producing 10,000 instruments annually, sold on five continents.Â
