Yamaha is launching the new FG7 today, bringing the character of the FG9 series to a wider range of players.
The FG7 shares much of the FG9’s design and construction, with a few key differences. It features a poly finish instead of nitrocellulose, simpler binding, and a Sitka spruce top rather than Adirondack. The wood selection is also a step below the FG9.
The result is a guitar that follows the same overall direction as the FG9, with a different approach to materials and finishing.
We’ll be receiving our first FG7s in just a few days, so keep an eye out.
Available in:
• FG7 Rosewood, with and without pickup
• FG7 Mahogany, with and without pickup
• FS7 Rosewood, with and without pickup
• FS7 Mahogany, with and without pickup
Exciting times for Yamaha fans. We’re looking forward to getting these in the shop and putting them through their paces.
