Collection: Gallagher Guitars

United States

Gallagher Guitars was founded in 1965 by J.W. Gallagher in Wartrace, Tennessee. Initially a cabinet maker, J.W. applied his fine woodworking skills to crafting high-quality acoustic guitars. The brand gained widespread recognition when the legendary bluegrass musician Doc Watson began playing Gallagher guitars in 1968, leading to the creation of the iconic "Doc Watson" model in 1974. Today, the company continues to produce hand-built guitars with the same dedication to craftsmanship under the ownership of David Mathis, who maintains the tradition and artistry of the Gallagher legacy.
