Built using a true bench-made process, each Laureate guitar is assembled with close attention to detail at every stage. From internal structure to final finish, nothing is left to chance.
Hand-Selected Components
Every bridge plate, brace, side brace, and piece of kerfing is individually chosen from thousands for optimal structural integrity and visual quality. This level of selection results in an instrument that feels refined, responsive, and exceptionally well balanced.
Hand-Finished FS6 Bracing
The FS6 bracing design is based on a traditional forward-shifted pattern, refined through careful control of brace weight and placement. For the Laureate Series, the quartersawn Sitka spruce braces are hand-sanded to enhance vibration, response, and overall tonal clarity.
Premium Tonewoods
Only the finest quartersawn and silked Sitka spruce tops are used, paired with carefully selected African Mahogany or East Indian Rosewood backs and sides. The stiffness and quality of the tops allow for slightly thinner sanding, improving sensitivity and dynamic response. All back and side sets are perfectly bookmatched with consistent color and grain.
Finish and Detailing
A refined sanding and finishing process delivers a flawless, deep gloss with an extremely thin clearcoat, allowing the guitar to resonate freely. The Daybreak finish adds subtle visual depth while maintaining a classic, vintage-inspired look.
Appointments and Styling
Bridges, fingerboards, and headstock plates are crafted from premium African ebony, chosen for its contribution to articulation, clarity, and note separation. Blue abalone inlays provide a luxurious yet understated visual accent.
Laureate Bridge Design
Inspired by late 1800s to 1930s acoustic guitars, the Laureate Series features a traditional single-level ebony bridge, custom-shaped specifically for this line to complement both tone and aesthetics.
