Click here for more informationBuilt in 2012 in Ferreirola, near Granada, Spain, this Andres D. Marvi Concert Classical Guitar is in excellent condition, with a Western Red Cedar top, Indian Rosewood back and sides, and a traditional French polish finish. The craftsmanship is exceptional, reflecting Marvi's approach to Spanish guitar construction.
The serial number, 295c, identifies this as the 295th instrument built in his workshop, with the “c” indicating a Cedar top. The guitar has a full, rich voice and shows only very light signs of wear, consistent with careful ownership and limited use.
It comes with a Cibeles case, including the case key and a polishing cloth.
Materials and Construction
Built in the Spanish tradition, the guitar features a slipper heel construction that integrates the neck and sides. The Cedar top is braced with European Spruce, while the Indian Rosewood back and sides include a Spruce centre strip and Spanish Cedar braces.
The Spanish Cedar neck and integrated block are reinforced with an Ebony stiffener and paired with an Ebony fingerboard. The headplate and bridge are Indian Rosewood. Alessi Hauser-style tuners feature gold-coloured plates and black buttons, while bone is used for the nut, saddle and tie block edges.
