The Dingwall NG Signature model, developed with Adam “Nolly” Getgood of Periphery, combines cutting-edge Dingwall engineering with Darkglass Electronics to deliver clarity, punch, and authority across a fanned-fret 5-string design. Perfect for modern rock and metal, this bass is equally at home on stage or in the studio.

Body & Neck

The NG shares its design heritage with the Combustion but features an alder body for slightly warmer tonal character. Sculpted contours make it comfortable and balanced, while the bolt-on 5-piece maple neck and maple fingerboard provide bright, snappy response. The fanned-fret system (34–37 inches) ensures tight, defined lows and smooth playability across all five strings.

Pickups & Electronics

Equipped with Dingwall FD3n neodymium pickups, the NG is paired with the Darkglass Tone Capsule preamp for versatile tone shaping. Controls include a 3-band EQ (Bass, Low-Mid, High-Mid), master volume, 4-position Quad-Tone pickup selector, and an active/passive toggle. The combination produces growling lows, cutting mids, and articulate highs suitable for aggressive modern tones or traditional styles.

Hardware

Tour-ready features include lightweight licensed Hipshot Ultralite tuners, a staggered bridge for maximum sustain, and a recessed jack socket. The magnetic rear cavity cover allows easy battery changes, while individual bridge units provide solid intonation and resonance. Every detail emphasizes stability, reliability, and professional performance.

Strings

Dingwall strings, designed specifically for multi-scale instruments, provide even tension and balanced feel. The bass ships with nickel strings, offering tight lows and clear, singing highs.
