The Dingwall NG Signature model, developed with Adam “Nolly” Getgood of Periphery, brings together the precision of Dingwall engineering and the power of Darkglass Electronics. Designed for modern rock and metal, this bass delivers clarity, punch, and authority across the full range of its fanned-fret design.

Body & Neck

The NG shares its foundation with the Combustion but features an alder body for a slightly warmer tonal character. Its sculpted contours make it comfortable and balanced on stage or in the studio. The bolt-on 5-piece maple neck and maple fingerboard add brightness and snap, while Dingwall’s multi-scale fanned-fret system (34–37 inches) ensures tight, defined lows and smooth playability across all five strings.

Pickups & Electronics

Equipped with Dingwall FD3n neodymium pickups, the NG is wired through the Darkglass Tone Capsule preamp, offering powerful and articulate tones. Controls include a 3-band EQ (Bass, Low-Mid, High-Mid), master volume, 4-position Quad-Tone pickup selector, and an active/passive switch. From growling lows to cutting mids, this system provides the flexibility to handle aggressive modern tones as well as more traditional sounds.

Hardware

Tour-ready appointments include lightweight licensed Hipshot Ultralite tuners, a staggered bridge for maximum sustain, and a recessed jack socket. The magnetic rear cavity cover makes battery changes quick and easy, while the individual bridge units provide solid intonation and resonance. Every detail is built for stability, reliability, and long-lasting performance.

Strings

Dingwall strings are designed specifically for multi-scale instruments, offering even tension and a balanced feel. Nickel strings come standard, delivering tight lows and clear, singing highs right out of the box.
