The PRS S2 Vela Limited Edition takes one of PRS's most distinctive body designs and gives it a premium, limited-production treatment. With its offset silhouette, Black Limba construction, satin nitro finish, and Natural Smokeburst colour, this Vela has a character all its own.

The body and top are both crafted from Black Limba, a lightweight tonewood known for its balanced response and distinctive natural appearance. The Natural Smokeburst finish allows the character of the wood to remain part of the visual presentation, while the satin nitro finish gives the instrument a more understated, refined look.

The Maple set neck features PRS's Pattern Regular carve and a 10" radius East Indian Rosewood fingerboard with PRS Birds inlays. The 25" scale and 22-fret layout provide the familiar PRS playing feel, with the slightly shorter scale offering a comfortable balance between traditional and modern electric guitar designs.

One of the most interesting aspects of the Vela is its pickup combination. A PRS DS-01 humbucker occupies the bridge position, while a Narrowfield humbucker is installed at the neck. Together, they give the guitar a wide tonal palette, from focused bridge sounds to clear and articulate neck tones. The push/pull tone control adds coil-tap functionality, while the three-way toggle keeps switching straightforward and intuitive.

Hardware includes the PRS Plate-Style bridge and Phase III tuners, providing a solid and dependable foundation for both studio and stage use. The guitar is supplied with a gig bag.

As a Limited Edition of only 200 instruments worldwide, this Vela represents a relatively uncommon take on the S2 platform.
