The PRS HDRX 20 delivers the unmistakable power, clarity, and warmth of late-60s British amps in a compact, lower-wattage design. Built around PRS’s Authentic Hendrix Touring Circuit, this amp is inspired by one of Jimi Hendrix’s personal stage amps, believed to have been used at Woodstock. Paul Reed Smith and PRS amp designer Doug Sewell meticulously studied the original in 2018 to capture its character and feel.

With sparkling highs that never turn harsh and a smooth breakup that’s rich in harmonic content, the HDRX 20 excels at both aggressive and sweet tones. Its 5881 power tubes deliver thick, articulate sound that responds beautifully to touch, while modern enhancements make it far more versatile and user-friendly than its vintage inspiration.

The HDRX 20 features internally bridged channels with independent Treble and Bass volume controls, letting you blend lead and bass tones without an external jumper cable. The addition of a Master Volume gives you precise control over power amp drive, allowing cranked tones at manageable volumes without the need for an attenuator.
