Underneath the striking finish is a carefully selected combination of tonewoods and premium components. The African mahogany body is topped with figured flame maple, paired with an ovangkol neck and ebony fretboard. The 24-fret, 25.5" scale design gives the guitar a familiar, versatile playing feel, while Jescar 57110-S stainless steel frets offer excellent durability and a smooth playing surface.
The guitar is equipped with a Hipshot hardtail bridge and Hipshot open-gear tuners, keeping the hardware straightforward, reliable, and precise.
For electronics, we went with our Arc A5 custom-wound HSH pickup set, giving the Scorpion a versatile three-pickup configuration capable of covering everything from articulate single-coil sounds to thicker, more powerful humbucker tones.
At just 3.016 kg, the Scorpion is also remarkably comfortable for an instrument with this level of construction and hardware.
