The Alvarez AP66e is a compact Parlor-style acoustic-electric built around a solid African Mahogany top, African Mahogany back and sides, and Alvarez's carefully developed Artist Series construction. Its smaller body makes it comfortable to hold while delivering the focused, mid-forward character that makes mahogany-top acoustics particularly appealing.

The solid African Mahogany top is finished in a Shadowburst Gloss, allowing the natural character of the wood to remain visible beneath a deep, polished finish. Mahogany gives this guitar a direct and balanced voice with strong midrange presence and clear note separation, making it well suited to fingerstyle playing, songwriting, recording, and intimate live performances.

The Parlor body measures just 360 mm across, with a 24" scale and 1 3/4" nut width. The shorter scale and compact dimensions give the AP66e an approachable playing feel without sacrificing the full-bodied response expected from a solid-top acoustic.

The African Mahogany neck features an Indian Laurel fingerboard with MOP and acrylic inlays. The neck meets the body at the 12th fret, with 18 frets and a comfortable 1 3/4" bone nut.

For amplified performance, Alvarez has fitted the AP66e with the LR Baggs StagePro Bronze system. It combines an LR Baggs Element under-saddle pickup with a discreet side-mounted EQ featuring volume, bass, treble, phase, and a large backlit tuner. The controls are easy to access while keeping the guitar's profile clean and unobtrusive.

Alvarez's FS6 bracing, Bi-Level Indian Laurel bridge, solid bridge plate and carefully considered construction are designed to maximize the response of the solid-top body. The guitar is completed with a bone nut and saddle, PPS synthetic bone bridge pins, chrome open-gear tuners, and D'Addario XTAPB1253 strings.
