BOSS RT-2 Rotary Ensemble – Authentic Rotary Speaker in a Compact Pedal

Rotary Revolution

The BOSS RT-2 Rotary Ensemble brings the legendary sound of rotary speaker cabinets into a compact, pedalboard-friendly format. Powered by advanced BOSS technology, this pedal recreates the rich, three-dimensional movement of vintage rotary cabinets with stunning realism. With three sound modes, deep tonal shaping, and flexible control options, the RT-2 captures the expressive magic that has inspired organists, guitarists, and countless recordings for decades.

Classic Rotary Sound, Modern Flexibility

Rotary speakers use motor-driven horns and drums to create lush modulation and depth. The RT-2 authentically reproduces these behaviors, including independent treble and bass rotor simulation with speed control. A Rise/Fall Time switch adjusts how quickly the rotors transition between fast and slow, while an illuminated display shows their current rotation for an intuitive visual reference.

Vintage Warmth and Drive

The Drive knob adds tube-style saturation, from subtle grit to rich overdrive, emulating the natural breakup of classic rotary amps. A rear-panel switch allows the knob to instead control the volume balance between treble and bass rotors, making it easy to shape your tonal character. The pedal remembers your latest settings, so your sound is ready to go every time you power up.

Deep Control for Live Performance

The RT-2 is built for expressive, real-time playing. The onboard footswitch offers four operation modes for bypass and speed switching. External footswitches can provide independent control of rotor speed and brake functions, while an expression pedal unlocks continuous control of level, drive, balance, and speed. Stereo I/O expands the spacious effect even further, with the option for standard stereo or split wet/dry outputs.
