The Collings D2H is one of the finest modern interpretations of the classic 14-fret spruce and rosewood dreadnought. Built in Austin, Texas to extremely high standards, it offers outstanding craftsmanship, effortless playability, and the powerful, balanced tone that has made Collings one of the most respected acoustic builders in the world.
This 2016 example features a high-grade Sitka spruce top with pre-war style scalloped X-bracing, paired with solid Indian rosewood back and sides for deep bass, clear mids, and shimmering highs. The mahogany neck is topped with an ebony fingerboard, and the ebony bridge helps deliver excellent note definition and sustain. A stained ebony headplate with a mother-of-pearl Collings logo completes the classic look.
Other premium details include a bone nut and saddle, faux-tortoise pickguard, and nickel-plated 16:1 Waverly tuners for smooth, precise tuning.
