Body

The carefully selected Old Growth Sitka spruce top offers exceptional stiffness-to-weight ratio, resulting in outstanding headroom, quick response, and impressive dynamic range. Combined with solid Honduran mahogany back and sides, the guitar produces a balanced voice with focused mids, crisp highs, and a warm, woody low end that continues to develop over time.

Collings' renowned pre-war scalloped X-bracing allows the top to resonate freely, producing remarkable sustain, note separation, and projection. Elegant appointments include tortoise binding with black and white purfling, a traditional purfling rosette, walnut backstrip, ebony bridge with bone saddle, and a tortoise pickguard, all finished in a beautifully applied high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer.

Neck

The Honduran mahogany neck features Collings' comfortable Modified "V" profile, offering a vintage-inspired feel that remains exceptionally comfortable for long playing sessions. The ebony fingerboard features a compound 14" to 26" radius, mother-of-pearl short dot inlays, and medium nickel-silver frets for smooth, accurate playability across the entire neck.
