PRS SE Silver Sky – Designed with John Mayer
The PRS SE Silver Sky brings the iconic design and tone of John Mayer’s original Silver Sky into an accessible, versatile workhorse model. First introduced in 2018, this SE edition delivers the same unmistakable look, feel, and sound at a player-friendly price point.
Built with a poplar solid body and a bolt-on maple neck, the Silver Sky features a rosewood fretboard with PRS signature bird inlays. The 22-fret, 25.5" scale length neck sports the original 635JM carve and 8.5" radius, making it smooth, comfortable, and instantly familiar in hand.
The trio of 635JM “S” single-coil pickups captures everything from glassy cleans to punchy bite, perfectly balanced for modern versatility and classic character. Anchored by a two-point steel tremolo, synthetic bone nut, and vintage-style tuners, this guitar is built for stability and expressive performance.
Other signature touches include the Silver Sky inverted headstock, SE logo, and a double-acting PRS truss rod accessible from the front of the headstock. Each guitar ships strung with PRS Classic 10-46 strings and includes a PRS gig bag.
